Loma, Montana is a 4x map for FS22 created by No Creek Farms (No Creek Farms Map, Medicine Creek Farms Map).  The map is a recreation of the small town of Loma and the surrounding area.  It has accurate terrain, roads, signage, custom buildings, as well as lots of historical additions.   I encourage you to check out the area on Google Maps to see just how closely the map resembles real life.  Almost everything on the map is custom in some way.

MAP DOES NOT NEED ANY EXTERNAL MODS TO FULLY FUNCTION!!! 

The map contains the following:

-Custom terrain that was 100% shaped by hand

-Accurate border terrain with actual Google Image of the surrounding area

-Custom ground textures to match the soil from the area

-Custom foliage textures on all foliage

-Trees will change on their own and have been heavily edited

-Ground foliage is changeable by the player - please check out this tutorial video on how this is accomplished. https://youtu.be/uYAJ1v6qkQI?feature=shared  I did it this way to give the player more control as well as to get away from the same old seasonal foliages from the cracked DLC.  You don’t have to change them if you don’t want to, but you can also change them whenever you want.  

-Custom crop textures - credit to BulletBill and AW Modding

-Added crops - alfalfa, clover, peas, lentils, and flax

-Swathable crops - wheat, barley, canola, and flax 

-Realistic gravel roads using “3D” gravel

-Accurate custom buildings from the area

-Accurate custom signage everywhere on the map

-Historically accurate sites and interpretive signage

-Custom train that can be rented - credit to BcBuhler

-Multi-terrain angle

-Seasonal items

-Parked cars appear and disappear at different times of the day in different locations

-Accurate land pricing for realistic gameplay

-Crop yields, seed rates, and grain pricing have been accurately adjusted for realistic gameplay

-Additional adjustments to costs and rates for realistic gameplay

-Two custom cattle pastures - one small and one huge open range

-Custom feedlot with 28 lots holding 600 cows (600 animals visually appear) (no mods needed) 

-Custom feeding - grains, alfalfa, clover

-Calfs, heifers, bulls, and cows added

-Custom manure heap that builds in each pen (player has choice to use or not)

-Three custom farms throughout the map

-Three sellpoints for grain and bales (flax straw cannot be sold and can only be used for feedlot bedding)

-Black Bluffs Grain located in SE portion of map

-Loma Grain is the westernmost grain elevator on south edge of town

-General Mills Grain is the easternmost grain elevator on the south edge of town

-Purchasable grain elevators (two middle grain elevators on south edge of town) that are used to store grain.  Grain can be removed and relocated or sold by rail to Big Sandy, MT.

-Custom soil map set up like Medicine Creek - each field has its own map essentially. Field edges will yield the poorest as well as low spots, etc. Land in the valley will yield more than land on top of the benches on average.

-Farms are all placeable - everything on each farm can be sold to clear the area.

-Autodrive course available to download to get you started - credit to Joe O.

-Paintable mowable grass added in the construction menu.

-All textures and plants you see in the map are in the construction menu for you to utilize. 

-A working ferry to cross the Missouri River.   Ferry is accurate to the area. 

-Tons of Lewis and Clark history for you to check out. 

THINGS TO NOTE:

-Everything that was adjusted was based on playing the game on the hardest settings. 

-Cattle in large, open pastures do not produce manure.  This is intentional because you would not get manure from an open grazing setup like this in real life. 

-Cattle in the feedlot will produce manure.

-Cattle feed rates have been drastically reduced.

-Cattle do not produce milk.

-If you want to place additional cattle pens, you will need to use the Enhanced Animal Mod or you will not be able to see the cattle you purchase.  Keep in mind, this will overwrite the reduced feed rates that I setup by using this mod.  If you want to place additional pens and want the reduced feed rate, you will need to unzip and edit the Enhanced Animal mod. 

-As the cattle move around on the largest pastures, they will stutter.  There is nothing that can be done about this.  It is a Giants issue and can't be fixed on our end. 

-Grass around the map is not mowable because they don't do that in real life in this area.  If you want to mow areas that aren't field, you can paint down the mowable grass I included.

Hi.  Great map.  Started me dreaming, so started writing.  I've finished a combined novelette/roleplaying scenario based on Loma using fs22.  I haven't heard of anything like this (where the story is set before you start). I'd like to share it, but don't want it public before you've seen it and corrected errors.

Such a fantastic map. Just wanna say some of the entrances to the fields are a bit too small, difficult to get into and coming to town from fields 7/8 when you go over the bridge at the end closest to town sometimes its like slamming into a brick wall. Idk whats there but itll stop you dead and throw your trailer through the air. 

is there a RCR version?

Why my cows get no siblings? i have other pastures and advanced animal mod. my sheeps working.

Why is there no soil information on this map??

It is not possible to find it in precision farming or regular menu.

So i know if i need to lime or fertelize.

This is a very confusing map to start up with, so i have some questions.

1. Wasn`t this meant to be based on realism?

2.Where is my farm?

We need a place to live and keep our equipment.

3. Where are the farm icons so i could know where to buy one, or where i live?

I can`t see any icons

We need to sleep

4. Why have you taken out base crops out of the map?

I know you have said it is based on realism in terms of the erea, but give people the freedom to play in their own way.

5. Why dosen`t your cows/catles produce milk?

Even tough you want it to be based on the earea, they do produce milk, as well as you need to feed the calves with milk. This is the reality and realism.

6. Don`t they eat, need milk to drink, isn`t it normal to eat cheese, chocolate, grapes, bread to eat and flower to bake bread over there? 

7. Don`t they have any food productions over there?

8. Don`t you have any trees so you can breathe over there, don`t you need tree productions over there so you can build houses?

9. Where are there roads to get over to farms?

10: Where are proper road signs to know where we need to go?

11. Why have you taken out premium dlc?

12. why can`t i sell silos after i bought them?

It say i cant sell it because when veicles are on it, but it sin`t anything there.

13. Has the map been updated so we get paid when selling logs?

14. Has the rest of the issues been solved after the first relase?

I suggest that you look at Farmer kleins video with the map tour.

15. Why is it possible to walk straight trough a car?

Most other creator makes it to work.

I strongly recommend you to improve these things.

This is basics on pretty much every map on fs22.

These are just some of my qustions and things that in my opinion must be improved.

Obvious things like clear marks and icons of where things are and can be bought, where you live etc..

When I bale (180/50000l) bales of Alfalfa hay windrow I get all white textures. Almost reflex white, glowing. Is there a way to fix these textures? 

use a different baler, known issue with the quick baler

Incredible map, it shows that you put a lot of hours into this.

When placing a new Hayshed (60 by 80) there seems to be a bug. When extracting bales they appear for a short second and are then stored again in the hayshed. Like a loop. Maybe the tip point and spawn point are too close to each other? 

quick question so when i buy cows on any the pastures they dont appear in the pastures or animal pens? is there something that i am missing or need to do?

ya i have enhanced animal mod 

precision farming andhyrdous ammonia by collins does not work well with this map. it eventually breaks it.

Error. invalid obect density in MapDensityFiller. will have to use reg PF until its addressed. which pretty much makes ammonia application pointless.

Looking through the description I see no mention of the millet and rye... Are these meant to be added to the map, or do I have some custom crop mod I don't remember downloading?

I have the millet and rye as well and I have not downloaded a custom crop mod.

Come on people, read the info. Everything will eventually be fixed, its a beta map. I enjoy it.

I followed every tutorial, and can't seem to get the manure trigger to place in all the pens, seems to not like the bigger pens.  Any advice?  Anyone else have this issue?

Stupid question, but what do I do with cows if I can't get manure or milk?

What should I change in the Enhanced Animal Mod xml so I can add more pens? I would like to add a horse stable but I didn't want to lose personalized cattle feeding.

There is a mod that allows more husbandries to be placed. I believe it's called, "more animal hubandries

Yes, I know the mod, I use it on other maps, but the description says that if you don't use Enhanced Animals, the animals from other placed corrals will not appear. And I saw in a comment on Facebook that a friend tried to put a horse stall and the horses were invisible, to be honest I haven't tried it yet, I asked the question before because I always use horses on maps.

are there any collectables??? it says there should be 100 of them. I have looked for days and can't even find one of them.

Also does anyone know where to find this mowable grass that was added??

I absolutely love this map, amazing job!!! My only question is, do plan on moving this to FS25 when it comes out? Keep up the awesome work!

Hi there.. Having a small problem.. I'm seeding field 24 and 8 with the Precision Farming Anhydrous Ready mod and when I look at the seed usage for those fields in PF it says zero but the green "(-100%)" is there on both fields. Not sure what the problem is as I haven't had this issue on any other map using PF Anhydrous ready. Hoping for a reply thank you. 

After 12hrs on map l have found that the sleep trigger instead of waking at 9am it jumps to 4.30pm. And can sometimes skip multiple days ahead. premium and platinum expansion is disabled. 

I am having some issues with contracts on the map. Its very odd. In the menu I cant accept contracts properly, and when they finally accept, and I go to the field, it says that I cannot operate my tool on the plot. A minor issue I am having is with the shop spawn location, large vehicles are spawning too close to the shed. 

Otherwise, It is an awesome map. 

Same issue with contracts even if I use their equipment.

Map is great so far. Just a quick question 

The ft benton ag supply has a anhydrous  tank but it doesn't allow you to purchase anhydrous even with the anhydrous add on mod. 

I just dropped the tank from the add on mod. But I didn't know if it was supposed to work or not. I also haven't been able to fill up diesel there either

How can I get this map to be Terrafarm ready? I mean what does Terrafarm looking for to work on this map?

Map is fantastic. You did such a great job on the border I've hit the brick wall a couple of times speeding down the road. 

Gotta a newbie question though, how do you get the ferry to go? 

Walk onto the ferry and stand by the building.  Enter it, start it, and drive it like a vehicle

I was on a MP server. Didn't own it. LOL Thanks for the map again. 

I have been so excited for this map but I am having some issues. Every time i try to load in the map even without any mods selected it gets to 85% and crashes the game. Do you have any recommendations for a solution. Thanks!

I have no idea what this could be.  Maybe try re-downloading the map file and start there.  Are your graphics settings too much for your system to handle?  Just spitballing here.....

check your log. delete the bad mods. once its in the mod folder and has been unselected. it will freeze at 85%. i have about 200 mods in my folder and no issues. if something is wrong... check the log everytime

Loving the map but on the starter farms cattle pasture I am not getting any health or production from anything but TMR.  I started a new game with only dev tools in the mod folder and getting the same results.  

The map looks great, I haven't been able to download yet because the download links are temporary and do not allow you to resume downloads, if the connection is lost it does not reconnect, since I am on an unstable connection most of the time...
 
 I hate these servers, they suck...

All three sell points have a place to sell bales.  Turn your icons on from your menu and you will see locations to sell bales near all the elevators

The info icon says press R to sell wood but i did sell bales there.

Awesome job! The map is really amazing.

But I've some trouble on my game.

I've that on the log file and my game blocked at the begining and when I accelerate the time. Have you an idea?:

Are you playing with the Premium Expansion enabled? If so, that is your problem.  If not, you have a mod conflict of some sort.

Thank you so much for bringing another quality map to this game, and a western US map at that! The western US is wildly unnoticed in terms of maps, and so I'll definitely be playing a map that's closer to home!
